  • Incremental Encoders

    ◆About Incremental encoder Incremental encoders generate pulses in a frequency proportional to the rotational speed.The encoders can be used for speed control, position control, or as a rotation indicator or a pulse generator of servo motors mounted in machine tools, robots, or measuring equipment.Optical incremental encoders are composed of rotor plate, fixed slit, light emitting diodes, photo transistors, etc. as shown in Figure 1.The fixed slit is designed to have 90 degree phase difference to the slit on the rotor plate.Output signals are two signals with 90 degrees difference; A-phase signal and B-phase signal, and the rotational direction can be detected with them.There are encoders which output the additional Z-phase signal as the origin signal.When controlling positions with an incremental encoder, the Z signal which shows the origin is used.

  • Absolute Encoders(Multi-Turn)

    ◆About Absolute encoder Absolute encoders output the absolute value of rotation angles.The encoders are used for position control of servo motors mounted on machine tools or robots.As shown in Figure 2, rotation slits are lined from the center on concentric circles. Slits indicates binary code strings of 2 pulses/rev from the center.Multi-turn absolute encoders memorize the rotation quantity data over one rotation.

  • VR Type (Singlsyn)

    It is ultra-thin absolute type angle detector with a strong high reliability in high temperature , vibration and shock . The Singlsyn has higher reliability and can be produced at lower cost as it does not have a coil on its rotor. Forming the rotor core into a special shape and changing the width of the gap between the rotor core and the stator core generates changes in the amplitude of the output voltage. The Singlsyn can be installed in a minimal amount of space due to the ultra-thin structure of the built-in model. (Singlsyn is our trademark for VR type Resolver.)

  • Smartsyn is an angle sensor that converts rotational angles into electric signals.

    Smartsyn is a brushless resolver based on an innovative winding method (National/Foreign Patent registered) our sophisticated design and production engineering developed. The traditional winding has been performed only by hand but our new method has enabled automatic winding by machine, thus realizing high productivity, low cost, high reliability, and excellent electrical properties.

  • Brushless resolvers (FA-SOLVER®)

    Brushless resolver can be used for high accurate feedback of position and speed sensing, and pole detection of motor. Through their features of resistance for harsh environment and other reasons, they are used with motors for machine tools and robots, in steelworks.     Smartcoder is a R/D (Resolver to Digital) conversion IC, which converts resolver signals into digital absolute position angle signals. It is usable in a wide range of applications, including vehicle/robot/machine tool related applications, in combination with brushless resolvers such as our Smartsyn and Singlsyn.
